Architects have frequently made recourse to the genre of the manifesto.
In short, meaningful lyrics and memorable images they formulate their new ideas and at the same time condemn the limitations of previous ways of thinking. The essential purpose of a manifesto is polemic. It provides assertions, sets out principles and defines real or fictitious opposition .
